Unsilent Night Cambridge

One of my favourite events in Cambridge is Unsilent Night, which took place this past Monday.  It's a great opportunity for UWaterloo Architecture students to exhibit projects and gets the community out on the streets, with music, lights, children and lots of dogs!! Rainy Days

It's a rainy, blah day in Cambridge and this about sums up what I'm feeling!!  While I should be working on final thesis changes, this is what I'm actually thinking about: reading in front of the fireplace, making gravlax, and listening to Christmas songs!

13 in 2013

Don't get me wrong, I love Pinterest!  But it's way to easy to pin all these things and then feel like you've done something!  I have a growing list of inspiring things to make, eat, see and do and pretty much none of them I've done.  So one of my goals for the upcoming year is '13 in 2013'.  I'm going to make a list of 13 projects, from crafts to meals, to accomplish before the following year is up.

Here are a few ideas to get me going:

Painted throw pillows

Roasted Cauliflower and Aged White Cheddar Soup

Some Rorschach art

A felt mobile 

Pull Apart Lemon Coffee Cake

But first things first, after December 31st, I need to make a book of all my A Year in Pixels photos...thinking maybe this company.

Comin' Home Baby

This came up on an 8tracks playlist the other day, and immediately got my dancing!  Very a propos, as I'm moving back to Toronto in a couple weeks....can't wait!!

Cottage Colourful

Well, for some reason I've decided I've got something to say!

My resolution for 2012 was to take a photo a day for the year, and since the year is almost up, I've been feeling motivated to start something a bit more long-term.  This year ahead will see many changes in my life, and I wanted somewhere to share them, mostly for myself, as a reminder of the little things that make life great (and sometimes not so great!)

I had originally intended to start this blog on January 1, 2013, as the next step from A Year in Pixels, but I got excited, and got a bit ahead of myself!  To start myself off, below are some photos I took at a weekend at my cottage with friends.  I've recently rediscovered my mom's old Nikkormat camera, which became my first camera, oh about a million years ago.  These are taken using this camera and some old film from a dumping drawer!
