Well, finally got to go to my first Junction Flea this past Sunday. It was a beautiful day, feeling more like spring than mid-Jan!! I had a stroll around West Queen West, and as this street art proclaims, the area really has changed. I can't believe how much new stuff there is, especially in the strip from Ossington to Dufferin.
The market was great, lot's of cool vendors, from antiques, vintage clothing, art and jewellery. I bought a lovely necklace from the ladies of RUNE and drooled over a bag from Crown Flora Studio. My dear friend and I sat in the balcony seats, overlooking the vendors below and conspiring about cool business ideas. The Great Hall is a beautiful old building with amazing character and
features. Loads of light made the space a perfect backdrop for this
event. But now that I've had a taste, I can't wait for the proper outdoor market to start up again in the summer!
On the way home I did a little Toronto laneway adventuring, looking at the amazing graffiti in the neighbourhood, wish there was more stuff like this, than meaningless tagging!
